Becoming the Person God Wants You to Be

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17

We should strive to be that person and acknowledge that God knows what is best for us. He changes our situation or increases our load to prepare us in fulfilling more of our purpose in life. If you think God is about to do something–you’re feeling a desire to see His Kingdom come– it only means He is transitioning you. You are on your way to the next level.

Change is necessary. A new season is about to come but rest assured that He will give you strength and wisdom. God knows all this. He is powerful. Relax, He really knows what He is doing. He is sovereign.

More responsibilities? Changing roles? God is certainly up to something. Everything has already been written in His calendar. You just have to heed His call. It’s either you stay or you go.

To be the person God wants you to be, God will bring you first to some level of influence. And then when we are more ready and willing, we will be used more for His glory.

God is generous to give wisdom to His people. From plans to strategies to purpose, He freely gives them all.

Before changes can happen, changes within ourselves must happen. First, you need to rediscover your purpose and open yourself to bring honor to God. Second, have a shift in the way you look at things. This is accomplished when our mind is renewed. Less sin perhaps? Learn to obey the word and the prompting of the Holy Spirit. And lastly, a new heart and a new spirit will be given—if you ask Him.

But how do you embrace change? Allow the Holy Spirit to move in your life. Get more intimate with God. Increase your faith. Wait for His perfect timing—be patient.
